Sugar Express® 4-10-40 is a highly crystalline fertilizer with the appropriate ratio of phosphorous and potassium designed to be used close to harvest. Normal ripening, color enhancement and brix development are peak nutrient demand periods that require maximum nutrient assimilation and mobility.
Rate of Application (Foliar Spray Use): Use at the rate of 5 to 10lbs per acre on all crops, to improve plant vigor and to promote crop production. For best results multiple applications should be used. Begin early in the growing season and make 3 to 5 applications at 7 to 14 day intervals. Apply as a foliar application to supplement the normal soil applied fertility program. Can be applied by aircraft at rates equivalent to 1lb in 1 gal. of water, per acre. For back-pack sprayers use at the rate of 6 grams per liter or 4 teaspoonfuls per gallon. This product is compatible in the spray tank with commonly used insecticide, fungicide and miticide programs.
Applications Before Harvest: Use at the rate of 7 to 10lbs per acre 5 to 7 days before harvest. Foliar fertilization is intended to be used as a supplement to a regular fertilization program and will not, by itself provide all the nutrients normally required by agricultural crops. Improvement has also been seen when Sugar Express has been used in combination with Millerplex.
Fertigation: May be used under normal fertigation practices.
Compatibility: This product is compatible with most pesticides commonly used on vegetable, fruit and agronomic crops. CAUTIONL: Do not use with Dormant Oil, Lime Sulfur, Spray Lime, or highly alkaline spray materials. Add product to the spray tank or pre-mix tank when it is about half full. Agitation in the tank is preferred to increase the speed of solubility. Where extremely cold water is used, allow a few extra minutes for the product to completely dissolve before spraying. Information regarding the contents and levels of metals in this product is available on the internet at http://www.aapfco.org/metals.htm. Use this product in accordance with good agronomic practices, which include utilizing proven spray equipment set for proper coverage. Do not make applications when temperatures are too hot, as crop damage may occur. Applications should be made at temperature levels and when other environmental conditions in your area are such that your experience indicates the application will be compatible and will accomplish the desired result.
